on riding the last train
i caught the last train of the mrt last night. and i enjoyed every second of that ride. i feel a little funny thinking about it but it was really like a scene taken straight from the movies. it was like i was being filmed and i was watching myself being filmed at the same time. i know. it's just that i am not used to riding non-crowded trains here in the philippines. i've been to mainland china and hong kong and train rides like what i had last night are normal. but here, it's like a dream - i wasn't pushed, i didn't have to play trip to jerusalem just to get a seat, i was sitting sideways and looking through the window during the whole of my ride, i was able to admire the city lights, and i got to enjoy being alone, i wasn't scared, i wasn't worrying about my stuff, my mind was flying, i felt free and before i knew it i have reached my stop. and you could never have guessed but i caught myself muttering "already?" as i was leaving my seat...

working title
i can’t get myself to go back to sleep. in times like this, i wish i have unlimited internet connection so i can just blog this sleeplessness away.
speaking of blogging, i’ve been thinking about putting up a new blog. in it, i will talk about our adventures together - a we travel series as i fancy calling it. how does “two tickets, one journey: stories of living, loving and laughing to the hilt” for a blog title and tagline sound to you? i know, i can still think of something better.
my new blog is officially a work in progress, yay! for now, i shall close my eyes and pray to the universe to lull me. bonne nuit!

home is where the heart is
so everywhere i go, i make sure to bring my heart with me.
i just moved into a new apartment yesterday. this is my seventh “home” away from the province. i’ve lived in teacher’s village and krus na ligas in diliman, and kamias in quezon city, pedro gil in manila, and j. victor and washington streets in makati. and now, on a street just beside my workplace.
new place, new life. as of writing, there are still bags of stuff all over the floor waiting to be unpacked and organized. and i am so excited to do just that later when i get off from work. yes, i somehow enjoy moving, haha.
and i enjoy living on my own. i’ve always been independent. i do groceries, i cook, i do laundry, i iron, i clean, i scrub, i do everything. and there are no parents to sneak from, no siblings to blackmail me, and at times… well, there’s just no one.
so, yeah, i can get really homesick. and when i do, i just want to hit the road home to the province. and i imagine bringing all my things with me and dream about never needing to return to the city. sometimes, i would ask my father if he’d let me just stay home and be a farm girl. i'd tell him i could live just by raising pigs and chickens, couldn't i? but he said i can’t and that i should make use of the education i’ve got. my mom agrees with him.
so, for now, here i am - just trying my best at being a grown up. and on my own.
and right now, i know, i only have one home, and i miss it…

sweet 26

i had a month-long celebration that's why this post is relatively not-very late.
so what does it feel to be turning 26?.. in my case, there's nothing extraordinary about it. and i spent it like i always do - with my best friends, family and boyfriend.
things i did within the first 30 days of my 26th year on earth in this lifetime:
![]() |
| received the best gift ever |
![]() |
| threw a pool & bbq party for my family |
![]() |
| went hot air balloon watching with my best college friends |
![]() |
| went to up diliman |
![]() |
| watched the live aids |
![]() |
| ate isaw and had a night picnic at sunken garden |
![]() |
| watched a movie and had cups of tea with my former officemates |
![]() |
| went to splash island with my best boy-buds |
other events in between: my boyfriend getting his dream job, heart's day and our 104th monthsary and my regularization!
a sweet 26th birthday, indeed. :D
